The Finance Innovation LabLondon17d ago
The Finance Innovation Lab is a small charity working for a financial system that serves people and planet. We connect people who are changing the financial system, develop them as leaders and help them scale their work.
Our work is constantly evolving and we are looking for a new team member to support our core operations and programmes. You will ensure our office is organised and well-stocked, schedule team meetings, arrange travel, venues and catering for events and external meetings, and act as first point of contact for enquiries.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in a charity, work flexible hours, and learn more about our pioneering approach to systems change.
We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, who enjoys multitasking, isn’t daunted by new tasks, and takes pride in helping the team to achieve their goals. Strong communication skills and IT skills are essential, as is attention to detail.
Prior experience working in charities or finance isn’t essential, nor is knowledge of innovation or systems change. We’re more interested in the skills and values you bring to the role, and your ability to learn on the job. We’re open to applications from people at all career stages and with any academic or professional background.
The Operations Officer will be line managed by our Chief Operating Officer and will work across our talented, committed and generous team, gaining exposure to all aspects of the Lab’s work. You’ll be based in the Lab’s modern office space in Farringdon, with flexible hours and scope for remote or home-working some of the time. You’ll need to attend some evening events, for which time off in lieu will be given.
We are committed to providing equality and fairness for all and not to discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, mental health, religion or age. We encourage and celebrate the different qualities that our colleagues, and others we work with, bring to our work. And we believe that seeing things from a wide range of different perspectives helps us to resolve problems, adapt our approaches and develop as an organisation. We want to bring greater diversity to our team and we’re keen to hear what you think you’ll bring from your own background and experience (beyond your professional skills and knowledge).
